Some items I'd like to have in the pool so they can be found via search, they're "borrowable" but they actually can't be taken off site, you have to come to the location to use them.

This was implemented as "Disable borrow tracking" in the item create/edit form, which hides the borrow tracking stuff, and displays it as "Always available". This is also selectable in the filters as well.

I think this was a great feature to add, thank you!

I'm thinking this could be a flag "borrowable" - checked by default, and creates the same result a tool's page has today, when unchecked changes some things like not saying "free to borrow" and probably just removes the protectiveness
